Sometimes I just want to hear this. So I’m putting it here so that I can access it anywhere, on any device.
This is the voicemail he left me December 2013 when he wanted to know if we were going to meet him and Mia at the Veteran’s Cemetery to put poinsettia’s on my Grandma and Grandpa’s graves. The same cemetery he’s at now.
I love that he tells me who it is leaving the voicemail like I wouldn’t recognize his voice. I called him back and asked him “Do you seriously think I don’t know it’s you by now?”
I love how he says “Florida” and “cemetery.” You can take the guy out of New Jersey, but ya’s can take the New Jersey outta the guy.
I love how he says “Love you” at the end and it sounds real. Not one of those auto-love-you-before-i-hang-up types of “Love you.”
I love that I saved this even when everything was fine and life was great.
I miss him so damn much.

This is so special. ♡ And so true about the “New Jersey” statement, lol.
This is so wonderful. I’m so glad you have this. I can only imagine how many times you’ve listened to it. We have a memorial video that was made for my brother with a ton of footage of him, and I’m so thankful for that. I also have a random note my brother left me when he went back to school one year, that was just so nice and sweet. It was very unlike him to leave random notes, but it’s one of my most cherished possessions.
I always hesitate before deleting voice mails from my mom. I also hoard her hand written notes.
I used to call my house when I knew no one was home so I could listen to the greeting my dad did. I wish I still had the recording. Now, I keep all my mom’s handwritten notes, etc in the safe!! Love this and love you!!!
